He served as a member of the North Carolina State Bar’s Specialization Committee for Social Security Disability Law for the maximum number of allowable terms; is a Past Chair of the Disability Advocacy Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice; is the Chair of the Legislative Committee of the Disability Advocacy Section; is the Chair of the Lawyers’ Assistance Committee of the Disability Advocacy Section; is the Chair of the PAC Committee of the Disability Advocacy Section of NCAJ; serves on the CLE Committee of the Disability Advocacy Section; and is a frequent presenter for NOSSCR, NCAJ, and other organizations. George received his BS in psychology from the University of Florida and his law degree from Nova Southeastern University
