DescriptionAre you working with clients who are doubting their gender identity, who are already out in the community, maybe leading a secret life, or who have only recently realized they are transgender? Perhaps you’re interested in working with this demographic but are hesitant since you’re unfamiliar with the specialized terminology and clinical requirements? This is the course for you!
Dianne Gottlieb, MS, LMFT, a gender therapist, will teach you how to establish a secure and supportive therapy environment in which clients may negotiate their highly unique transition process on their journey to living an authentic life.
In this tape, she will discuss her over 15 years of professional expertise as well as her very personal tale of learning firsthand what compassion, respect, and acceptance genuinely mean for a transgender person. Leave your preconceived notions about what is manly and feminine behind and open your heart and mind to learning what it is like to not conform to the typical binary definition of gender.
This information-packed workshop will empower you to adopt successful treatment techniques for transgender and gender non-binary adult clients.
Don’t pass up the opportunity to broaden the therapeutic populations you serve!
