For many of us, the most difficult challenge in life is getting ahead while still having fun. Life, work, and responsibilities can drag us down, and we lose sight of what makes us come alive. When we seek greater significance, we must sift through the hucksters, hype-sters, and plain old gullible. So we typically return to what we’ve been doing all along, each time a little more jaded. It doesn’t appear like we’re asking for much—just a simple, sensible way to play at the top of our game, enjoy deep happiness, and not have to give up our critical viewpoint or common sense to do so. That doesn’t seem so outlandish, does it?
What is the significance of “Flow”?
You’re finding it more difficult to silence your unrelenting Inner Critic.
You spend the majority of your time “elsewhere,” daydreaming or thinking about the past or the future.
You frequently lose willpower and have a long list of personal hopes and objectives that never come true.
You’ve looked at spiritual or personal development programs but felt like an outsider or a cynic, hesitant to “drink the kool-aid.”
You find yourself reflecting on a time in your life when you did experience Flow and have silently accepted that you would never see “the good old days” again.
You self-medicate or divert yourself in ways that leave you even less content than before (think: social media, Netflix binges, shopping, porn, video games, substances)
You occasionally wonder, “Is this all there is?”
” I suspect the answer is simply, yes.”
It’s been much too long since you hooted and screamed simply for the sake of doing something you enjoy.
Flow Fundamentals can assist.
It’s similar to a “Zero to Hero” training program, but it lasts your entire life. It is hands-on, exploratory, and immersive. You discover a new concept about training Flow, use it in your life, see the results, and make it your own.
I’ve discovered that the most common barriers to gaining access to Flow on demand are:
Quitting just when you’re about to break through to a new level
Struggling ineffectively and exacerbating whatever difficulty you’re dealing with
Not having tried-and-true ways for relaxing, redirecting, and resolving problems when your first effort fails.
Inner monologue that continuously opposes your efforts and pushes you out of the Zone when you do get into it.
Pushing oneself from one task to the next without taking time to rest
Telling yourself you’ll “take a break” after the next goal or endeavor, but never doing so until you get sick or wounded.
Having difficulty falling asleep or waking up sooner than anticipated because your mind is racing
Feeling like you don’t have enough time or energy to do anything, much alone all you want to do
Did you know…
Anyone, regardless of age, background, or skill set, may experience flow—from Japanese grandmothers to Yosemite rock climbers to Korean motorcycle gang members to your Etsy buddy.
We spend almost $4 trillion dollars on the Altered States Economy, purchasing things, substances, and experiences that allow us to escape for a brief while. Flow accomplishes it on its own.
People that have the greatest Flow in their lives also have the highest overall life satisfaction of any demographic on the world.
When you are in Flow, your performance, creativity, and problem-solving abilities can increase by up to 400%.
Flow stimulates the release of five of the most powerful neurochemicals for motivation, learning, and well-being: norepinephrine, dopamine, endorphins, anandamide, and oxytocin.
Learning new abilities while in Flow reduces the time it takes to mastery by half.
Unfortunately, much of our education, employment, and social lives appear to be specifically geared to drain us of our Flow. We’re continually being drawn away from the effortless attention and profound joy of being engaged in the moment, thanks to open office designs, frequent digital distractions, and overscheduled family schedules. It’s insane to assume we have a chance of achieving at our best while following in the footsteps of those who will never get there. It’s time to move above self-help and New Year’s resolutions and discover the source code of your inherent motivation…
