Warren Buffett, the famous investor, gained a lot of money during the 1973-1974 bear market by purchasing a substantial share in Washington Post Company, an investment that eventually increased 100 times its purchase price. “Be frightened when others are greedy, and greedy only when others are fearful,” he once advised.
Because of all the inherent benefits, real estate provides for rapid wealth accumulation. You may control a huge asset by investing a modest amount of money.
When the real estate market in one place is in a slump, there are still possibilities to benefit elsewhere. It is what made Donald Trump wealthy. In addition, he has property in Dubai, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Panama, and the Dominican Republic.
And Sir John Templeton, the Templeton Growth Fund’s manager from 1954 until 1992. He was another significant crisis investor, purchasing into COUNTRIES and COMPANIES when they reached the “point of extreme pessimism,” according to his principle.
For example, the Wall Street Journal reported on a business opportunity in Spain.
The title shouted, “Bargains Abound on Spain’s ‘Foreclosure Road.'” And Investment International declared, “Property deals in Spain are available.”
I hate to admit it, but we were ahead of them. Prices were decreased by up to 36% off the original price in one project I suggested to readers in Granada, Spain.
For the smallest apartments, these subtle “off-market” rates may expect gross rental returns of 10%…
After costs, figure 8%.
And this is where the offer truly shines.
The bank provided up to 90% financing on these units, with interest rates as low as 2.5% (a variable rate connected to European Interbank rates) and terms of up to 40 years.

“It’s a resale of a 0.5-acre mountain-view lot bordered by a stream and protected conservation land. The owner is extremely motivated and desires a quick sale. He’s willing to sell this lot for $28,000 dollars. To give you an idea of how low that price is, comparable lots in the area are listed for $45,000. That’s a $17,000 savings on what I’d already consider a reasonable price.
“You can build if you want (and aim for high rental yields)…
or sit on your property. There are no construction requirements. Furthermore, carry costs are low. The monthly community fees in this community are among the lowest in Latin America. That agreement has expired. It was quickly snapped up after members of my group learned about it. But I have some good news…”
