I’ve trained more consultants than I can count over the years. I vowed never to do any more group consultant training programs, summits, makeovers, or strategy resetting sessions. The truth is that I became exhausted from doing so many of them when I was younger.
But I recently had to go through all of my basic material on consulting mastery (as well as my more involved and high level thoughts on the subject) since my Japanese partner requested me to design a blockbuster consultant training program for 400+ consultants, trainers, presenters, and writers.
So I painstakingly set about creating the ultimate, integrative hybrid that would incorporate all of the previous $15,000 and $25,000 consultant training programs I’d done—all of the private extensive advisory makeover and enhancement sessions I’d done for famous experts—as well as all of the newly acquired knowledge, wisdom, and understanding I’d gained over the course of my more sophisticated and mature work with both operating entities and specialized organizations on four levels.
So I did something unusual in my life. In January of this year, I hosted a high-level, ultra-elite beta-version event in Los Angeles for 25 people. Attendance was restricted to serious/real/verified and validated professionals, consultants, writers, trainers, and specialists.
The dynamic and amazing range of individuals in the room astounded me.
We were one half of the team that designed Salesforce.com’s full migration mechanism. We have someone who swooped in to assist the world’s leading retail corporations in determining their vendor/supplier constraints.
We had three outstanding executive coaches on our team. We had Holland’s most recognized entrepreneur-icon. We have a copywriter from France who is the secret weapon of web marketers all over the world. We had three outstanding digital marketing professionals on our team. I could go on and on.
In terms of process and learning dynamic, the program structure was completely hands-on, completely participatory, and completely personalised. I would communicate with each participant on an individual basis.
In reality, I developed a 700+ slide PowerPoint presentation that I just did not utilize. We were suddenly immersed in a large array of significant topics, difficulties, factors, pressures, impact points, psychological leverage fulcrums, and positioning stratagems—all lead by me, employing a Socratic question oriented, case study method.
I’ve never done anything even like to the method, dynamic, and approach I took during this exploratory meeting.
