Jeff Peterson, PhD, LCPC, LPC, NCC, PCC Seminars and products related to: 2
Dr. Jeff Peterson, PhD, LCPC, LPC, NCC, PCC is a nationally certified counselor and licensed professional counselor who teaches at Northwestern University’s clinical counseling department in Chicago. He also has a private clinic in which he specializes in anger management, stress management, couples therapy, anxiety and depression, coping with shame and addiction, and sexual or gender identity difficulties.
Dr. Peterson serves on the American Counseling Association’s editorial review board and has talked to mental health professionals around the country on how to prevent Microaggressions in a therapeutic environment, ethical considerations in treatment, and the psychological impacts of shame.
He is a co-founder and organizer of the Healthcare Guild (healthcareguild.com), a nationwide non-profit committed to assisting sexual and gender minorities in finding affirming and culturally competent health care. Dr. Peterson holds a Ph.D. in clinical mental health counseling instruction and supervision from the University of Iowa and Walden University.
