DescriptionDo you believe yoga and mindfulness may benefit the children you deal with but don’t know where to begin? You’ve learnt some mindfulness practices but aren’t sure when or how to put them to use? Have you exhausted your alternatives for working with your most difficult children? All children deserve the opportunity to succeed, and a growing body of evidence demonstrates that yoga and mindfulness are effective skills for navigating a difficult environment.
Jennifer Cohen Harper, author, creator, and director of Little Flower Yoga, will discuss how these practices may help children relax the protective portion of their brain while engaging and exercising the thinking half.
This entertaining lecture will provide you with a step-by-step method to integrating yoga and mindfulness practices to assist children and adolescents who are struggling to manage their emotions, maintain focus, and control impulsive behavior.
This framework for assisting children in accessing the inner resources of their body, breath, and mind is thorough and successful, as well as accessible even to individuals with no prior yoga or mindfulness training. It is based on a program utilized with children in NYC schools.
It is important to assist our children transition from reactivity to balanced participation with the environment, both at home and at school. This seminar blends conversation, lecture, practice, and reflection to send you back to work inspired and equipped with new skills as well as a clear understanding of how to use them.
