Joan McEvers’s description

Joan, along with her co-author Marion D. March (1923-2001), developed a method and approach that became widely known and used all over the world as a result of her long and highly successful experience as an astrology teacher. They co-wrote The Only Way to Learn Astrology, a now-classic six-volume instructional series (ACS Publications). Joan also wrote 12 Times 12 for ACS and edited a series of anthologies for Llewellyn Publications called The New World Astrology series. Her work has appeared in a variety of national and international publications.

Joan began studying astrology in 1964, initially self-taught, but in 1969, she studied with Ruth Hale Oliver and began teaching and counseling. Joan and Marion had very busy lives in different states, but they managed to work together frequently and well. They collaborated on the creation of Aquarius Workshops and Aspects Magazine. Joan was also an AFAN coordinator. Joan and Marion were awarded the prestigious Regulus Award for Astrological Education at the 1989 United Astrology Congress.
