A Behind-the-Scenes Look at REAL Performance Enhancement Training….
PLAE Sports Performance Flooring, Hammer Strength, Intek Strength, and Iron Grip Barbell are among the sponsors.
If you’re a strength and conditioning coach who wants to take their abilities to the next level, this seminar is for you.
Are you weary of going to seminars or reading articles written by “coaches” who don’t really coach?
Do you want to take a course that will help you get the most out of your continuing education dollars?
And would you want to work with two guys that coach great athletes every day?
If this is the case, you must attend the Elite Athletic Development 3.0 seminar!
What exactly is an Elite Athletic Development Seminar?
Joe and I launched the Elite Athletic Development Seminar (or EADS) because we were bored of the same old strength and conditioning seminars.
If you take a lot of courses, as we do, they all look the same.
You are assigned a coach who must squeeze a lifetime’s worth of information into a 45 or 50 minute session. And by the time they’ve done an introduction, provided some context, and finished things up, they only have 15-20 minutes to deliver the information!
We developed the EADS courses because we wanted to deliver more as presenters.
We wanted to provide instructors with more information about our distinct training ideas.
This session will expose you to our distinct and comprehensive methods to athletic development.
This session will cover everything from programming to coaching and everything in between.
And, while there are many excellent resources available for entry-level programming or coaching, there isn’t much at the next level.
Here is a taste of what will be addressed during the EADS 3.0 seminar:
A comprehensive introduction of the Tier System and how to utilize it to improve your athletes’ growth.
The R7 Training Method: How it will organize your programming and help you to constantly develop better programs than you are currently.
How to include speed, agility, and conditioning in your strength training routine.
Why appropriate breathing is an essential component of any training program, as well as how to employ breathing to accelerate your core training routines.
How to employ the “slow-cooker” method with your young athletes to ensure proper development now and in the future.
An in-depth discussion of single-leg training, including its advantages and disadvantages, as well as the best ways to include it into your physical preparation regimen.
How to create your own, distinct coaching philosophy that you will use throughout your coaching career.
If you’re a coach who genuinely cares about his or her athletes and want to advance your own skill set, this is a must-attend event.
What Topics Will Be Addressed During EADS 3.0?
The Houston Cougar Summer Program, Session 1
Speed, Agility, and Conditioning Integration with a Tier-Based Strength Training Program
Mr. Yancy McKnight
It is never simple to fit everything into a Division I summer program, but the finest coaches find methods to optimize their athletes’ achievement.
Coach McKnight will show you how he blends his field and strength training such that they coincide throughout the crucial 9-week NCAA Summer Strength and Conditioning Program.
He will also go into how he combines speed, agility, and conditioning workouts on the field with his tier system-based strength training regimen to obtain the best of both worlds.
Mike Robertson, Session 2: The R7 Approach to Training
The objective of every coach is to develop a methodical, streamlined approach to program creation. When you use a program design framework, you achieve consistently better outcomes with each program you develop.
The R7 is employed at facilities across the country because it offers a “fill in the gaps” approach to program design that guarantees you cover all of your bases with each program. Using this basic yet effective programming method will provide you and your athletes with the best opportunity for success!
Session 3: Athletic Strength Training: Breaking Down the Tier System Strength Template
Joe Kennard
Coach Kenn will demonstrate the three-day, total-body strength training template that has become a standard in many programs around the country in this presentation.
Coach Kenn will cover the guts and bolts of the Tier System Training Methodology, as well as a practical aspect demonstrating how an actual training session may look.
Session 4: Breath and Core Training Integrated
Michael Robertson
Everyone and their mother like discussing core training.
But are “circuits” of core exercise truly all you need?
Furthermore, might it be that you’re completing all the proper exercises but in the wrong order?
Because the core connects the upper and lower portions of the body, sensible core exercise should be a part of your routine.
Mike will address how to incorporate appropriate breathing into your core workout to build athletes that are not only stronger and more powerful, but also less prone to break down.
Session 5: The Block Zero Initiative
Joe Kennard
One of the most pressing issues for any coach (and, in many cases, parents) is how their children will be introduced to their first formal training program.
In this day and age, we must understand the developing process and maturity of our athletes. Coach Kenn will go through the principles of creating an entering developing program for newbies to your organization.
Before introducing the athlete to external loads, Coach Kenn’s “slow cooking” technique concentrates on mobility and relative/gymnastics strength capabilities. This will be a lecture and hands-on session, with doctors being asked to engage in the various exercises being demonstrated.
Session 6: The Reality of Single-Leg Training
Michael Robertson
For over a decade, single leg training has been a hotly debated topic.
But what is the function of single-leg work?
Does it take the place of heavy lifts like squats and deadlifts?
What steps do you take to include it into your programming?
Last but not least, which workouts do you select?
This session will be a combination of practical and hands-on instruction, providing you with a solid knowledge of where single-leg work fits into your programming as well as progressions to help you get the most out of your single-leg training.
7th Session: Creating a Coaching Philosophy
Joe Kennard
Coach Kenn will lecture on a variety of topics related to creating a coaching philosophy. This lecture will include, but not be limited to, his “Words Win” objective, the six important components of coaching, and growth as a coach and man.
