LaChelle Barnett, LCSW, LCAC, is a member of the faculty. Seminars and items related to: 1LaChelle Barnett, LCSW, LCAC, is the CEO of a South Bend, IN-based organization. She works as a psychotherapist at Oaklawn Psychiatric Center, where she specializes in treating people who have both trauma and addiction concerns. She is an Indiana University lecturer who teaches undergraduate students in groups. She also works as a consultant, speaking at various conferences and events on clinical topics.
She has a Masters of Social Work from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Dayton. She is also a certified clinical social worker (LCSW) and a licensed clinical addictions counselor (LCAC). She is now working on her PhD.
LaChelle has received training in a variety of therapy methods, including EMDR, Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She is also trained in the Batters Intervention Program (BIP). She has years of expertise working with trauma and addiction patients in the mental health field.
