DescriptionAs a mental health practitioner, you are regularly presented with the problems of complicated ethical and legal dilemmas. Knowing and using an ethical decision-making framework will provide you the tools you need to:
Systematically handle ethical concerns
Distinguish facts from preconceptions and prejudices.
Keep track of the probable consequences of each course of action.
Create an ethical justification for picking the least detrimental alternative.
Choose the best method for putting your decision into action.
Determine what went wrong or may go wrong in order to prevent it from happening again.Watch this clip to learn about a unique decision-making model that does not tell you which ethical principle is most essential (as some other models do), but rather gives you with alternatives and raises vital questions to assist you in determining which principle tops others. Learning this paradigm can also assist you in developing justifications for how to interfere with other professionals or clients in an ethical and safe manner. This reflective model can help you become the proactive practitioner you desire!
You will be able to use the abilities straight away thanks to case examples! Case studies will address topics such as confidentiality, informed consent, boundaries, dual relationships, and self-determination.
