Lindsay Sorge promotes the optimal use of medications to help patients achieve positive outcomes and engage with medications as a tool for improving health. Lindsay is a research specialist and interim Director of MedEdgeRx at the University of Minnesota-College of Pharmacy. She also works with the Alliance for Integrated Medication Management. Lindsay previously served the Lake Superior Quality Innovation Network and worked as a medication management pharmacist at Park Nicollet Clinic. She graduated from the University of Minnesota–College of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy program then completed the Pharmaceutical Care Leadership residency and a Master of Public Health in Public Health Administration and Policy, both at the U of M.

Nancy Jorgenson is the Pharmacy Network Liaison at HealthPartners where she manages the relationship between contracted Medication Therapy Management network providers and the health plan. Nancy’s responsibilities also include growing the network to meet the demand of members, supporting existing providers and overseeing audits to ensure fidelity of HealthPartners MTM services. Nancy has worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for over 29 years in various roles which include 13 years in community pharmacy, 10 years in a specialty pharmacy and 6 years in pharmacy benefits. Nancy was the specialty pharmacy inventory specialist and the automation super user. Nancy loves to travel, spend time with her grandson and walk her Mastiff puppy.

Erin Suomala (“soo-muh-la”) received her PharmD from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy Duluth campus. Upon graduation, she completed a community pharmacy residency program with Cub Pharmacy and has been working for Cub Pharmacy in various roles since program completion. She has been serving as their Manager of Clinical Services since May of 2016, supporting all traditional pharmacy dispensing integrated services such as immunizations and point of care testing, as well as supporting their team of clinical pharmacists who provide Comprehensive Medication Management. Erin has also been serving as the Residency Program Director for Cub Pharmacy’s PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency program since June of 2018

Dr. Melnyk Evans graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Doctor of Pharmacy, completed 2 years of residency training with a concentration in ambulatory care practice and academia and received a Master of Health Science in Clinical Research Practice from Duke University School of Medicine. Previously, Dr. Melnyk Evans served as a clinical pharmacist specialist at the Durham VA Medical Center and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She has more than 14 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience. She led transformation initiatives to establish collaborative practice agreements and establish comprehensive medication management programs at her organizations. In addition, she served as a Senior Research Scientist in Health Services Research and Development with the Veterans Affairs as a primary, co-investigator and interventionist of multiple studies focusing on medication adherence and clinical pharmacy interventions to improve patient outcomes.
