Dr. Heil is originally from Poplar Bluff, MO, but currently resides in Syracuse, IN and works as a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Boling Vision Center in Goshen, IN. In 2005, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a physiology concentration from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. She continued her studies at Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCUCOM) in Kansas City, Missouri, where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2009. Dr. Heil did an internship at Genesys Regional Medical Center (GRMC) in Grand Blanc, MI. She also finished an ophthalmology residency at GMRC, where she was head resident, in 2013. Dr. Heil worked as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in Troy, MI, for two years while her husband, Ross A. Heil, D.O. (whom she met in medical school at KCUCOM), completed his training as a gastroenterologist in the Detroit area. Dr. Heil and her husband have relocated to Goshen to be closer to his family and to raise their three young sons near the lovely Wawasee Lake in Syracuse. Dr. Heil likes jogging and spending time on the lake with her family in her leisure time.
