We had our first Certified Functional Strength Coach Level-1 event in October of 2014. We’ve certified over 700 instructors since then at events in the United States, England, Ireland, Germany, Italy, and Japan. The response has been overwhelming. When we created the CFSC, we wanted to set a new standard for certifications, and judging on the feedback of individuals who have taken the course, we succeeded. Since we started working on the CFSC project in 2013, our goal has been to improve the quality of professionals in the sector by providing the greatest educational experience possible and requiring all coaches to pass a live practical exam. We are building a professional network of coaches that can provide amazing demonstrations and provide clear and concise coaching cues while adhering to a methodical approach to programming.
Our mission is to help good coaches become great, and great coaches become even greater.
We are implementing that initial purpose statement to the athlete population and the programming system with Level-2 of the CFSC. We are employing the same instructional method that was so effective with Level-1 to accomplish this. You will obtain access to the instructional material on the back end of our website after you register for Level-2 (remember, you must already be Level-1 certified). We have around 5 hours of lecture content, the Level-2 Coaching Manual, and a multiple-choice exam based on that information that must be passed prior to the event. This enables us to devote the whole one-day on-site training to practical instruction.
