Description
Following a Shooting
What to anticipate if you have a self-defense shooting.
Being involved in a self-defense shooting can be the most stressful experience, and it can frequently have long-term consequences. This is why we train to avoid situations that place us at greater danger of an occurrence like this.
The course begins with a look at what you can do to avoid a self-defense shooting, but also covers how to be best prepared if you are forced to defend yourself, and what to anticipate in the aftermath.
If you carry a handgun for self-defense or have a firearm in your house for home defense, this training will be helpful if you ever need to use lethal force to defend yourself.

Darter, Mike
Mike worked as a police officer in Oklahoma City from 1991 to 2001 and as a government contractor for the Department of Justice from 2001 to 2011. Mike investigated and testified in hundreds of violent crimes, including shootings, killings, and other violent felony offenses, over his career. Mike was a police officer who was involved in a shooting and was involved in a lawsuit as a result of that incident. The case was subsequently dropped, but his experience inspired the development of CCW Safe.
