Jillian Michaels Rip 60 Fitness DVD Set is an obviously new product. Jillian Michaels isn’t the primary trainer; instead, Jeremy Strom begins the sessions. I was thinking about getting the P90X Extreme Home Fitness Workout Program to assist me get back in shape after many years of irregular activity (and a few health problems). This program is clearly designed to compete with P90X, and it provides some unique benefits at a lower cost. I leaped at the chance to give it a go, but the trainer on the pre-release DVDs was not Jillian.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
WEEK 1:The first DVD in the series opens with what they call a “warm-up,” although it seemed more like a shock to the system. I had to do the workouts from Week 1 in phases. I completed as much of the program as I could and discovered that I needed an off-day every other day. As a result, I decided to take two weeks to do everything in the same number of days that I would have if I did it every day. I had no worry of plateauing because it was still a struggle well into the second week.
WEEK 2: I’m completing week 2 throughout week 3, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any easier. I’m doing my best to push through it.
WEEK 3: I’m halfway through the program and my stamina has grown significantly. I have yet to see any apparent changes in my physique. However, I am now able to complete routines that required a break in the beginning.
Here are my initial thoughts. The exercises and motions are not tough on their own, but they are cleverly structured to give a significant challenge when completed in succession. They don’t always appear to advise folks about how to compensate for exhaustion or change routines. If you are not a fitness enthusiast, pace yourself cautiously.
THE 60 STRAPS RIP
The straps are useful, but finding a suitable location for them was tough. They are intended to be mounted on a pole, hook, or the outside of a door. The straps also need to be adjusted, and I got some metal splinters when doing so. As a result, the component quality isn’t the best.
I cut them to the smallest possible length and quit tinkering with them. But after I got them set properly, I didn’t have to change them again, and they worked well. I could execute the program workouts without this gadget, but it really improves the intensity.
CHOOSE A LOCATION
Because most people have few TVs outside, it was difficult to find a suitable location for this. It was simplest for me to hang the straps on a solid closet clothes rod. Because not everyone has a very robust closet rod, this will not work for everyone.
It would have been easier to complete the exercises if it had been higher up. They do sell ceiling brackets, but installing one would necessitate locating a stud in a suitable area. That may be too much for most individuals, in my opinion.
If you don’t have a rod near a decent DVD player and TV screen to wrap this around, I propose moving your laptop to the best spot you can put up the straps and conducting your training from there.
CONCLUSION
This is a difficult regimen, and I believe those who can stay with it will see benefits. Once you’ve established a decent location for the straps, the primary problem will be recovering quickly enough to complete the routines every day.

According to studies, we lose some muscular mobility as we age. The Rip 60 reverts this trend by reintroducing previous actions and teaching new ones, retraining your body to utilise its muscles.
The next stage is to follow the scientifically developed eight-week movement sequence, which is demonstrated on a single DVD each week. Weeks one through four are dedicated to strength, teaching you the proper techniques to improve your strength and endurance. Weeks 5–8 focus on general power, using routines that enhance muscle activation.
The first DVD, Wake Up Your Body, gets you ready for the future routines. DVDs two and three enhance the ante, with a Hyper Burn exercise focusing on stability and endurance and a Turn and Burn session introducing longer sets for increased stamina. You’ll Recharge with yoga and tai chi in week four.
Week five assists you in Building It Up-the start of the muscular building phase. To prepare your body for increased power, you’ll be exposed to bigger weights. During Power and Strength Week 6, you’ll begin focusing on power techniques, incorporating quicker movements and more reps. In Pedal to the Metal, you’ll incorporate the movements from Week 6 into lengthier repetitions. Finally, The Peak, the week-eight workout that combines the strength, power, and endurance you’ve developed and tests it against a timed assessment, will put it all together.
The Rip 60 also comes with four additional DVDs. Jillian Michaels Exercise DVD teaches you how to lose weight with America’s Toughest Trainer, who takes you through a full-body workout. The Georges St. Pierre Workout DVD shows you how to do an MMA fighter’s characteristic movements, resulting in intense muscular explosion and astonishing results. The Power Yoga Workout DVD focuses on extending and strengthening, giving you a variety of movements that will enhance your general balance and physical well-being. The DVD aids in your recovery following your eight-week physical makeover. The last Runners Workout DVD increases the effectiveness of your running training by strengthening your stabilizer muscles.
