Vermont Anxiety Treatment CenterPaul Foxman, Ph.D., has led hundreds of courses around the United States and Canada, and he has been on television and radio as an anxiety specialist. The Clinician’s Guide to Anxiety Disorders in Children and Adolescents (PESI, 2016), Dancing with Fear (Hunter House, 2007), and the award-winning The Worried Child are among his publications (Hunter House, 2004). He and Glatzer also co-wrote a casebook, Conquering Panic and Anxiety Disorders (Hunter House, 2002). Dr. Foxman is well-known for his expertise and lucidity, as well as his sense of humour, compassion, and entertaining speaking style.
Dr. Foxman is the founder and director of the Vermont Center for Anxiety Disorders, as well as a clinical psychologist. He co-founded the Lake Champlain Waldorf School in Shelburne, Vermont, in 1985, which is now thriving from kindergarten through high school. Dr. Foxman has over 40 years of clinical expertise in hospitals, community mental health institutions, schools, and private practice.
Dr. Foxman’s schooling includes Yale University (B.A. in Psychology), Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College (Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology), and training at Mt. Zion Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry, the Kennedy Child Study Center in Nashville, and the San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institute.
