I’d committed to trading, put in ungodly hours of research and practice, and had nothing to show for it. In reality, I was deteriorating!

And guess what?

I felt that if I “had my act together” and stopped making stupid mistakes, my outcomes will improve. I’d be making as much money as the “professionals” on Instagram.

But then I discovered the true lesson.

I spent the following year adrift, not knowing what I was doing wrong.

Worse, I had hundreds of hours of trading experience under my belt.

..and I was still not making any headway.

After failing these classes, I began to suspect that something was wrong with me.

But then I realized what the underlying issue was.

I’m not sure why it took me so long to realize what distinguishes successful traders from terrible ones.

I’m not sure why it required thousands of dollars to compel me to design procedures that would remove the decision-making and concern from my mind…

I’m not sure why it took me thousands of dollars to realize the problem wasn’t simply the plan, or even me; it was the procedures and processes I put in place.

I’m not sure why I hadn’t seen it before. But after making two little changes to my strategy, I began winning trades and steadily expanding my equity curve – FINALLY.

This is known as the “90% syndrome.” You may already know 90% of what you need to know. But it’s the last 10% that counts, and that’s where the devils are.

This is where the majority of traders fail.

In retrospect, you say, “Oh, I see I’m overtrading; tomorrow I’ll do this and this.”

However, in the heat of the moment, you start revenge trading or overtrading to compensate for your mental blockages.
