What You’ll Learn in These 7 Weeks
The course meets on Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. Pacific.
Rabbi David will take you through the key spiritual abilities and competences you’ll need to properly grasp the 10 energies of the Tree of Life and perceive the world through the Kabbalistic prism in this 7-week transformational program.
This seminar will include lessons from Rabbi David as well as experiential guided activities. Each weekly training session will build on the previous one to provide you with a comprehensive grasp of the practices, tools, and principles you’ll need to maintain your awakened heart and mind and move in the world with Kabbalistic intention.
Rabbi David’s class sessions will include both visual slide presentations and audio instruction. All teaching portions will be pre-recorded, and Rabbi David will host many LIVE Q&A sessions during the course so you can engage with him in real time and get answers to all of your questions.
Module 1: Kabbalah’s Origins (April 26)
This first session will reveal the secret origins of the oldest Western spiritual tradition. From biblical prophetic schools and visions of seers like Ezekiel to Talmud rabbis building Merkavah, or divine chariot, you’ll follow Rabbi David’s meandering wisdom master’s road to perceiving God.
During this session, you will:
As we synchronize our desire to draw live streams from this deep well of insight, you will be inducted into the circle of those who have participated in the art and science of Kabbalah.
Learn a simple Kabbalistic invocation for uniting brain and heart via love and reverence for the heavenly wisdom of Kabbalah.
Investigate the origins of Kabbalah, including who, how, and why it was developed. Examine the three primary schools of Kabbalah: contemplative, magical, and philosophical.
Module 2: The Tree of Life’s Ten Evolutionary Energies (May 3)
The Kabbalistic GPS — Guide for Purposeful Spirituality — will be introduced to you in this subject. The ten Sefirot, or Divine Energies, are the foundation for knowing your soul. The Divine Mind, or Mochin, is where you’ll find the first three Sefirot/Divine Energies. The Upper Triad, also known as Ayin or No-thingness, Father, and Mother, consists of Keter, Chokhmah, and Binah, or Crown, Wisdom, and Understanding.
During this session, you will:
Put on God’s mind.
Learn how to recognize states of awareness in your own life and how to develop routines to increase these states of being.
Read the Bible through the Kabbalist “Facebook Live” Video Q&A Session’s eyes (May 9)
Rabbi David will join you for one hour through Facebook Live to interact with you in an intimate and immediate manner, answering any issues that may have arisen while working with the course content over the first two modules. This real-time video link will be simple to use and will significantly enhance your learning and transformation.
Module 3: The Lower Triads of Living, Loving, and Acting (May 10) (Ask a Question Live)
We’ll continue mapping the Sefirot/Divine Energies with the Lower Two Triads and the last Sefirah, Malchut (Chesed, Gevurah, Tiferet/Netzach, Hod, Yesod/Malchut). Through emotional calibration and energetic activity, the lower energies, known as Middot (or measures), govern, balance, and sustain the entire holistic energetic system. Malchut, also known as Shechinah, is the Divine Feminine principle of manifestation as well as the extreme Divine Presence.
This lesson will also teach you about the Sacred Marriage (hieros gamos) or Tiferest with Shechinah, and how that union in our hearts, brains, and life provides Divine Blessing to the whole Cosmos.
During this session, you will:
Practice the world’s dance of efficient energetic action, based on an awareness of endurance and surrender, pushing and pulling.
Discover the formula and form of the holy union of beauty/heart, expression, and lived-Divine presence, known as the “union of God’s name.”
Learn how manifestation is founded in purpose — and how action rooted in heart-opening is the Tree of Life’s promise.
Tzimtzum, or Divine Contraction (May 17) (Live Q&A)
This lesson will present the power of Lurianic Kabbalah, which is founded on the doctrine of the famous 16th-century mystic, Kabbalist Rabbi Isaac Luria, who held that God constricted Her essence to make place for the universe in order to create the world. Most of us associate “withdrawal” with the polar opposite of creative life. Most of us think of expansion as the fundamental basis of creation, but the Kabbalist does not. Divine light, like ourselves, need coverings to be seen.
During this session, you will:
Discover the Tzimtzum (or restriction) hypothesis, which has profound contemplative and psychological applications.
Investigate the creative confinement force or the enigma of Tzimtzum.
Tzimtzum meditation is a contemplative technique and imagination that creates new universes.
Worlds and Souls, Module 5 (May 24) (Ask a Question Live)
You’ll investigate the fundamental patterns of the Kabbalistic “Great Chain of Being,” the unfolding of reality’s five basic dimensions (or realms), beginning with Adam Kadmon (Primordial Man) and ending with Assiyah (the world of manifestation). Each world or dimension corresponds to a particular energy body, and each world or dimension has its own reality.
During this session, you will:
Learn how to recognize and live effectively in each level.
Investigate the core structure and language of each dimension.
Learn meditation techniques to help you become acquainted with each soul/world combination, using the Kabbalistic map to achieve self-knowledge.
Rectifying Reality (Module 6)
Tikkun & Broken Vessels (May 31) (Live Q&A)
According to Rabbi Isaac Luria’s Kabbalah, the original lights of Creation were too bright for the first vessels, causing them to crack. This shattering, or “breaking of the vessels,” was a cataclysmic catastrophe mentioned in the Bible and referred to in the Zohar but not completely stated until the 16th century. This shattered universe serves as the backdrop for all human activity, particularly the task of the Kabbalist, whose mission it is to uncover the light buried inside the broken, material world. Tikkun is the act of locating and releasing light sparks.
During this session, you will:
Investigate the mythical underpinnings of this deep Kabbalistic declaration.
Learn about the rituals that Kabbalists have employed for ages to “unleash sparks of heavenly light.”
Investigate the effects of this mystical perspective on daily life.
Module 7: Divine Vision & Messianic Awareness (June 7) (Ask a Question Live)
The Messiah (or Mashiach) is viewed as a redeeming figure in traditional Jewish theology, a person who will herald a new world, a utopian reality of peace, safety, prosperity, and the lack of strife. This prophetic vision, according to the Kabbalist, is a realized inward understanding of Divine Reality, the ever-present potential of Presence, Divine Fullness and Radiance.
The Kabbalist strives to see through God’s eyes, hear through God’s hearing, and love through God’s heart. This Messianic Consciousness, known as Mochin d’Gadlut (or Big Mind), exists inside the awakened individual and is known as shalom, or full and perfect completeness. This Kabbalistic instruction will be studied and practiced by you.
During this session, you will:
Learn about nondual awareness in greater depth.
Investigate the profound insights into feminine and masculine psychology that combine line (kav) and circle (igul)
Practice Messianic Meditations’ mystical chanting.
Finish the course and ready to live the Kabbalah Way in the world.
