Sean G. Smith, C-EFM, C-NPT, FP-C, TP-C, RNC-NIC, CEN, CFRN, CPEN, CCRN-CMC (Adult), CCRN-K (Neonatal), CCRN-K (Pediatric), is a flight nurse-paramedic with experience in Trauma Care, Tactical Medicine, Emergency/Critical Care, and Prehospital Emergency Medical Services. He possesses nursing and molecular biology degrees, is a graduate of Duke University’s Legal Nurse Consulting program, and is now pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. He has many advanced specialty certifications as well as substantial teaching credentials in critical care and emergency medicine.

Among her many author/co-author credits are a best-selling Laboratory Medicine textbook, a chapter on Shock in the Trauma Nursing Core Curriculum, and a portion in the recently released Resuscitation Crisis Manual. Sean advises various high-profile hospital systems (Yale, Mayo…) on clinical, legal, and certification preparation. He often speaks at national and international conferences, has performed 50+ medical missions (Dominican Republic, Honduras, Morocco, Liberia, and Haiti), and has provided medical support to NASA’s Space Shuttle Program.
