Chicago Cognitive Wellness CenterDr. Sherrie All is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in neuropsychology, cognitive rehabilitation, and brain health. She founded and directs the Chicago Center for Cognitive Wellness (CCCW), a group neuropsychology clinic that provides cognitive rehabilitation and psychotherapy to persons suffering from cognitive loss. Dr. All, a pioneer in the field of brain health, strives to educate the public about brain-healthy activities and to develop innovative brain health coaching. Her work in this field garnered her the Sharpbrains Innovation Award for Most Innovative Mental Health Program in 2010, as well as coverage in The New Yorker and Crain’s Chicago Business.
Through continuing education programs, supervision, and individual consultations, Dr. All teaches other practitioners how to incorporate cognitive rehabilitation techniques into their practices. In an interesting and approachable manner, she presents her extensive grasp of the brain and brain-behavior linkages. “Brain Destiny: Everyday Choices to Lower Your Risk for Dementia and Change Your Life,” Dr. All’s forthcoming book and current keynote address, offers an entertaining way of promoting a popular understanding of the scientific theory of cognitive reserve in order to empower people to effectively care for their brains. She has been asked to speak by the American Society on Aging’s (ASA) Lifetime Education and Renewal Network (LEARN) and routinely lectures on the themes of brain health, cognitive rehabilitation, and therapies for early-stage dementia. Dr. All’s studies include functional MRI (fMRI) and electrophysiological (EEG) indicators of cognitive impairments.
