Suzanne Velasquez-Sheehy, EdD, EP is a certified energy psychology practitioner and licensed teacher and administrator specializing in increasing performance by identifying and reframing limiting beliefs. She is the creator of Stress Less and BOLT to Success SEL programs and the author of An EP Toolkit for Teachers.
Jondi Whitis
Jondi Whitis is a master trainer/trainer of trainers and Training Board member for EFT International. She delivers professional EFT training along with other energy psychology modality workshops across the country. A former teaching artist in NYC schools, she is passionate about bringing energy psychology and emotional wisdom to children.
Gail Gillespie, PhD
Gail Gillespie, PhD, is a licensed school psychologist in private practice in New Orleans. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of school-aged children and their families. Gail has been an ACEP member and has practiced EFT for the past twelve years.
Understand how stress and trauma impact children. Learn the science behind EFT and how to integrate evidence-based energy psychology self-help tools to improve children’s stress management, emotion-regulation, self-confidence and resilience. You will receive a toolkit of resources for teaching children energy psychology tools in a variety of settings, including in the classroom.
OBJECTIVES
- Describe at least 3 emotional or behavioral characteristics in children that occur as a result of stress and trauma.
- Identify at least 3 characteristics of highly sensitive children/teens and 3 common socio-emotional challenges of this population.
- Demonstrate how to apply basic EFT.
- List at least 3 strategies for introducing EFT to children of various ages.
- Demonstrate at least 3 energy psychology techniques that children can use to help manage the effects of stress and trauma and reframe limiting thoughts and beliefs.
- Develop an action plan to integrate energy psychology tools into your work with children.
