DescriptionMaster the Ethics of Working with Children
Any ethical dilemma requires careful consideration and deliberation. It may be extremely perplexing, intimidating, and anxious-inducing when young children or teenagers are involved. The field of mental health is murky at best, and doctors are often left with more questions than solutions.
Dr. Terry Casey will provide you the tools you need to deal with any ethical dilemma that may come up in your work with children, teenagers, and their families by listening to this tape and using the exercises he provides. Dr. Casey has created a novel ethical decision making model, which you will learn to use in a wide range of situations. These include required reporting, boundaries, divorce and child custody, and online connections. Dr. Casey will lead you through case studies using vignettes as you examine options in light of relevant ethical rules and federal and state legislation.
