Tony L. Sheppard, Psy.D., CGP, FAGPA, specializes in treating adolescents with mental difficulties such as self-harm and suicide. Tony, a professional psychologist and trained group psychotherapist, has over 15 years of therapeutic experience dealing with children, adolescents, and young adults. Along with his own practice, Groupworks, he has taught hundreds of therapists, educators, nurses, and physicians around the country in the treatment of self-harm and suicide, and he is the creator of a group psychotherapy training program.

Tony’s clinical approach is influenced by interpersonal neurobiology, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused brief treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology.
