WILLIAM MCKENDREE, ESQUIRE, is the Supervisor of the Allegheny County APPRISE program. Pennsylvania’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program, APPRISE, assists customers with Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care, and health insurance issues. Mr. McKendree also works as a preceptor for the APPRISE internship programs at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and School of Law. Prior to joining APPRISE, he worked as the director of the Western Pennsylvania Center for Aging Services and as an associate at the Pittsburgh law firm Gabriel & Associates. Mr. McKendree holds a Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University’s School of Law as well as a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He teaches Medicare and Health Care Systems at the University of Pittsburgh, Point Park University, and Allegheny County Community College.
